Wuzzy
Poor Wuzzy looks as if he has been abandoned.
He really is a battered bear! His brown mohair has been shredded, plucked, trimmed and shaded to produce a 'well loved' look, or maybe a 'left in the attic' look! Wuzzy has one large wired glass eye and one button replacement eye. His 'wounds' have been stitched up and he has a couple of straw escape patches on his head. He has metal and card cotter joints and embroidered features.
Wuzzy is weighted with steel punchings. He has a rusty old 'friends' tag on string and rusty safety pin pinned to his remaining fur.
Wuzzy measures 16cms.
My bears are made from 100% mohair or viscose, with the occasional faux fur and plush thrown in!
They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys. Every one arrives with a signed and dated certificate.
