Pāṭalaḥ Spirit Doll
Origin: Sanskrit पाटल श्वेतरक्त Meaning: Pink
My spirit doll is for display rather than for play and symbolizes or embodies an activity, a spiritual moment, experience, the divine, etc. Patalah is made from variety of soft, flowing fabric, clay, bundled sticks, words, jewels and beads. I sculpted her face to represent the tribal dolls from various countries, with patterns. Her hair and turban are silk and her robes are voile, satin and silk. She has a hook on her back for hanging.
Patalah measures 32cm in total.
