Lily May
Lily May is a new bear from my collection of larger bears. She is made from a lovely mohair, sparse dusky pink with a little rouge on her cheeks.
Lily May is created in the traditional style of bears from the Victorian era, with wired black glass eyes with lace whites, metal and card cotter joints and embroidered features.
Lily May is heavily weighted with steel punchings,
she is stuffed with wood wool, polyfibre and also mohair scraps to replicate the waste materials used in Victorian times to save money.
Lily May is wearing a dress and hair ribbon made from an antique Victorian Christening dress.
Lily May measures 24.5cms.

My bears are made from 100% mohair, silk, alpaca or viscose, with the occasional faux fur and plush thrown in!
They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys. Every one arrives with a signed and dated certificate.
