Isbjorn
This name is popularly used for polar bears in Norway and Denmark and translates to “Ice Bear”.
Isbjorn is from my collection of special, medium sized bears.
He is made from a pearl white mohair, a really unusual and satiny material, totally luxurious.
Isbjorn has black wired glass eyes, his features are hand embroidered and his ear inners are silk. He is well weighted with steel punchings and is stuffed with polyfibre. Isbjorn comes in his hand knitted hat and scarf set.
He is fully cotter pin jointed as usual.

My bears are made from 100% mohair, silk, alpaca or viscose, with the occasional faux fur and plush thrown in!
They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys. Every one arrives with a signed and dated certificate.
