Hayden Hedgehog
'One crisp morning in the golden hush of early autumn, Hayden Hedgehog set off with a determined wiggle and a twinkle in his eye. He’d heard whispers from the squirrels that the best acorns were hidden beneath the old oak near Bramble Hollow—ones with perfectly snug little caps and just the right amount of shine.
Hayden packed a tiny satchel (stitched from a scrap of antique lace, naturally) and toddled off through the mossy underbrush. He paused to chat with a robin, shared a giggle with a sleepy dormouse, and finally arrived at the oak tree just as the sun spilled its warm light across the forest floor.
There, nestled in a bed of leaves, were the acorns—two of them, both tucked into its own real case like nature’s treasure chest. Hayden gathered them carefully, humming a tune only hedgehogs know, and made his way home with a proud little bounce in his step.
Now he carries them wherever he goes, a reminder of his brave little quest and the joy of finding something special when you least expect it.'

🌸 Meet Hayden Hedgehog – my first little hedgie in ages.
Hayden is made from fuzzy dark ginger mohair with a gently trimmed tum that gives him that irresistible “please cuddle me” look. His spines are a soft mix of gingery brown and deep chocolate fur—perfect for snuggling, not prickling! He’s got shiny black wired glass eyes and nose, antique lace whites and hand-embroidered features that hint at a secret smile… if you catch him just right 😉
He’s fully cotter pin jointed and has a lovely bit of weight thanks to clean steel punchings, so he sits beautifully wherever he lands. And because he’s a true woodland gent, he brings along his own acorns in their real little cases—just in case he gets peckish.
Hayden measures around 15cm.
Hayden Hedgehog is £58.50

My bears are made from 100% mohair, silk, alpaca or viscose, with the occasional faux fur and plush thrown in!
They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys.
