Fray
A button for an eye, a bandage for a paw,
He's had love and time and asks for more.
Threadbare fur and a slouch so slight,
He’s waited in corners, out of the light.
Fray may be patched, but he’s brave and true,
A little companion who’s always with you.

🐻 Meet Fray, The Patient Soul.
This pocket-sized companion, Fray, measures a diminutive 13.5cm of charm. He is crafted from mink toned mohair, distressed and shaded to capture a 'timeworn' quality, lovingly threadbare where a lifetime of cuddles would take their toll.
His eyes tell a story, one side holds a warm, amber glass glimmer, while the other is a unique mother-of-pearl button replacement, adding character to his gaze. His delicate features are hand embroidered.
Fray's stance is one of quiet, humble patience, slightly slouched as if he’s been waiting for his turn. A soft muslin bandage lovingly wraps his little 'poorly' arm, a tribute to his enduring spirit and the inspiration for his name. He is the very essence of a beloved heirloom.
Fray is £67.50 with free postage
Postage prices all include tracked delivery:
International postage prices are approximate, I always weigh the parcel for the cheapest price. Europe £14, U.S.A. and R.O.W. £18
I should be very grateful if overseas adopters would pay 'send money to friends and family ' to avoid the PayPal fees.
My bears are made from 100% German mohair or viscose, with the occasional faux fur thrown in! They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys.
