Fearnsby
Fearnsby is from my new line of larger bears, made using buttermilk blonde viscose. He is created in the traditional style of bears from the Victorian era, with wired glass eyes, metal and card cotter joints, embroidered features and claws. He has a number of bald patches and 'sewn up' areas. He has been heavily stained for an antique appearance.
Fearnsby is heavily weighted with steel punchings in his tum, he is stuffed with wood wool, polyfibre and also mohair scraps to replicate the waste materials used to save money.
Fearnsby has a rusted bell on string around his neck.
Fearnsby measures 25cms.
My bears are made from 100% mohair or viscose, with the occasional faux fur and plush thrown in!
They are 5 way cotter pin jointed, and some of my minis are string jointed. They have wired glass eyes, some of which are hand blown antique glass.
My bears etc. are generally around 11cm tall when seated and so are classed as miniature bears, although they can be quite stocky fellows!
The bears are filled with lovely, clean steel punchings
and some polyfibre stuffing.
These are collectors' bears made using materials and traditional components that make them unsuitable as children's toys. Every one arrives with a signed and dated certificate.
